We run six sections, two each of Beavers (age 6 – 8 yrs), Cubs (8 – 10.5 yrs) and Scouts (10.5 – 14 yrs)
Meetings are term-time only, and we charge a monthly subscription, payable by direct debit.
We are always on the lookout for adult volunteers to join us, principally as section leader team members, helping to run our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, but also as Trustees and admin support.
In certain circumstances, and depending on need, adults who are willing to volunteer with us may be able to bypass the waiting list for their children.
Please feel free to e-mail the following, who will either be able to communicate directly with you or get the correct person to contact you.

Cubs can join at age 8 and move on into Scouts at age 10½.
Activities in the Cub Packs include:-

Most Scouts join directly from our Cub packs, but spaces are generally available in one of our troops for direct entry where a youngster has not attended Cubs, but this is always subject to availability.
Sinclair Hall is our own premises and is named for our previous GSL who gave us over 25 years leadership.
The hall comprises a main building with kitchen and toilet facilities and a separate, smaller, annexe. An outside area gives us scope for games, pitching tents, campfires and outside cooking
Whilst we are lucky to have our own premises it is a double-edged sword! In order to maintain the site to the highest standard of health and safety we need to regularly invest both time and money.
The group is a registered charity so must adhere to statutory requirements relating to governance, safeguarding, finance etc. Consequently we have a responsibility to maintain our finances in a professional manner and balance subscription levels with fund raising efforts.
Our board of Trustees meets once every other month and is responsible for the administration of the site and the funding of the Group as a whole.
If you can help with administration skills, maintenance skills, materials and/or funds please get in touch.
