Babies and Children all over the UK and beyond have been enjoying Music with Mummy since 1992. I have been running classes in the Thornbury area since 2000.
Both Music with Mummy and Jolly Babies have been designed specifically with the changing needs of the children in mind. The classes are small in size, and whilst you might recognise some nursery rhymes and folk songs, the vast majority of the songs have been written specifically for us... hooray! Lots of new stuff to sing!
With a mixture of action songs, percussion and good old fashioned singing, classes are a lively and happy place to be! We spend time developing the child's confidence and aim to make music part of everyday life. MOST OF ALL... WE HAVE FUN!

Sweetpeas Breastfeeding Support Group meets on Thursdays, 1.30 - 3pm, at Thornbury Sure Start Centre, Gillingstool. All breastfeeding mums, babies, toddlers, and older siblings are welcome. We meet to drink tea and chat, and to share our experiences. There is a midwife and a breastfeeding counsellor normally present, too. Mums experiencing difficulties are welcome, as are mums who are successfully breastfeeding and can offer support and encouragement. We are for parents, relatives and carers of twins, triplets or more. We meet every Tuesday 1-3pm at Thornbury SureStart Children’s Centre (beside Gillingstool Primary School) to offer help and support on raising twins or more.
If you are pregnant with twins come and chat to Mums who have been in the same situation and experienced the same anxieties, get advice and buy unwanted nursery items from other mums.
Once you've had your children bring them to very safe room with lots of toys and a baby area. We offer a drink and snack (for children and Mums!) and there's always a willing hand to help. Siblings are welcome.
We send out regular newsletters on events, nights out and Nearly New Sales. We have a library of relevant books and DVDs and are affiliated to Tamba.

We are a small, friendly toddler group with a large hall to play in. We have craft activities, a climbing frame, pre-school and baby toys, baby bouncer, nappy-changing mat, push-alongs, jigsaws, duplo etc. In warmer weather we have a large garden area with ride-ons, sand pits and water play (or even digging in the mud!). We offer tea/coffee for parents/grandparents/carers and milk/water/squash for the toddlers plus biscuits/fruit for everyone.
