The Walking for Health project provides a range of led group walks for people of all ages and walking abilities. 10am: Being and Becoming the Change
The Chantry, Thornbury

What does this mean? Is it purely about change of habits and lifestyle - or something more? This facilitated workshop will consider the unprecedented changes we are facing and how our inner ‘worldview’ relates to the challenges of these times. Drawing on the work of Chris Johnstone, Joanna Macy and others, the aim is to create safe space for exploration and discussion.

This is a free introductory workshop and will be held from 10-4 locally. A donation of £10 is requested to cover costs with the remainder going to the Charity, ‘Rethink’. Please contact Maggie if you are interested. Places limited and booking essential.

Outside The Ship Inn, Thornbury Rd, Alveston BS35 3LL
Parking available in pub car park.

This walk covers flat land, with occasional steep inclines/declines across surfaced and un-surfaced paths. Possibility of livestock in fields and will be muddy if it has recently rained. Refreshments and toilets available at pub after the walk.

Please give your name to a committee member if you can help out on the day. We will be shortly asking for produce for our sales tables. Please let us know if you have anything that we could sell/raffle/use as tombola. Our Knit’n’Natter group will be looking for things to make, so please contact us if you would to join in and help.

Everyone welcome to come for a cuppa and a natter. Entrance £1. All the usual stalls: raffle, tombola, books, cakes. Please support us.

The group provides help and support to sufferers of Fibromyalgia and their families in South Gloucestershire. Group meetings are on the fourth Tuesday of every month. For more details, contact Elaine on 01454 415374.

Why not come along and test your knowledge and join in the fun at a quiz night? Thornbury and District Cancer Research UK committee are holding this event 7.15 for 7.30-10.30pm.
