Starting on Friday September 5th and every following Friday from 11-12, there will be an opportunity to meet like-minded people interested in Practical Happiness and Be the Change.

Whether you only have time to pop in and say hello, or stay for a cup of coffee and a chat, it doesn’t matter – it will be great to see you.

There is no planned agenda – this about finding common ground and sharing thoughts and ideas – with maybe a book or question to focus on and help break the ice.

There is no meet up on Friday, October 17th and no meet ups over the Christmas period from December 5th.

South Gloucestershire Discover Festival 2014

South Gloucestershire’s biggest festival 11 September – 31 October 2014

Now in its third year, the Discover Festival is an exciting and diverse programme of events for young adults, adults and families to discover something new in South Gloucestershire. It is organised by South Gloucestershire Council, local residents, community groups and businesses. We want to show why South Gloucestershire is a great place to live and work.

Discover 2013 featured 225 events and 8 exhibitions. Over 8000 people attended events which ranged from one to one advice sessions to large scale open days. 2013 saw a 25% increase in the numbers of events featured in the festival and a 33% increase in people attending from 2012.

The support group meetings are offered to anyone affected by a brain tumour in a safe and secure environment where families can meet together to share warmth, friendship, information and have some fun. Some months, a speaker will be invited to talk about relevant matters concerning brain tumours. A cup of tea, coffee, biscuits, and a warm welcome are always at hand.

We meet 10.30am–12.30pm at Unit 1, Thornbury Office Park, Midland Way, Thornbury, South Glos. BS35 2BS on the 3rd Wednesday of the month.
