Thornbury Craft Fair will feature only crafts made and sold by their makers, no mass produced stock, just specialist items made with thought and care. Admission to browse and buy from the fantastic array of local creatives, is free.
We are looking for crafters, within a 10 mile radius of Thornbury, who would be interested in having a stall (limited stalls are available so they need to get in touch soon). The event is in aid of the Meningitis Research Foundation. Contact details and further information can be found on our website or by email below.

Sharon Cound has held clairvoyant evenings in Thornbury on a number of occasions before, and each time has been sold out.
Tickets for this event are £5 each, and all proceeds will be going towards the under 12's rugby in order to raise funds for their new kit and to go on tour. There is a maximum of 80 tickets available.

A Warm Welcome at The Swan...
Landlady Sandra welcomes you to the newly restored Swan Pub.
Come and enjoy speciality cask ales, local ciders and traditional pub food with a twist.
The Swan opens at 9am on Saturday for a full English breakfast at £5.95, or coffee and a bacon roll for just £2.95.
Coffee and snacks are available from 10am every day and The Swan will be offering loyalty schemes on lunches and morning coffee and snacks.
Food is served 12-2.30pm and 5-8.30pm Monday to Friday, and all day on Saturday from 9am through to 8.30pm.
Carvery is available every Sunday 12noon-3pm.

On Tuesday and Wednesday lunchtimes Senior citizens can order a main course and enjoy a free dessert.

The skittle alley is now open and Sandra is seeking players to join the Summer league.
The skittle alley is available to host events such as fairs and fetes. Sandra is considering organising a table top sale there on a Sunday morning and local charities could benefit from the proceeds. Please contact Sandra to discuss your ideas!
The recent Quiz Night was enjoyed by so many that it's now going to be run weekly every Wednesday night, starting at 8.30pm.
All proceeds go towards a different charity: February's proceeds went towards Thornbury Town Band, March proceeds go towards Thornbury Cricket Club and April will go towards the under 12's rugby team for a new kit.
6 nations rugby will be shown on the new large wide screen television situated in the back of the pub and a special curry and chips will be available at a small cost of £3.50 during half time. Guinness is on promotion at £3 a pint.
Special Nights at The Swan
Monday Night 5-8.30pm is Curry Night - tuck into a selection of curries, rice/chips and poppadom with a pint or a glass of wine for £6.95.
Steak Night has been extended due to popular demand and now runs 5-8.30pm Monday to Sunday. The prices are:
- Monday to Wednesday - Two people can dine for £17.95: choose from either a rib eye or sirloin and have a bottle of wine
- Thursday to Saturday, enjoy the same offer for £19.95.
Quiz Night is now every Wednesday night, starting at 8.30pm. Teams of 5 at £1 per person. Prize is a £20 voucher for the Swan. All proceeds to charity.
Functions at The Swan
The newly refurbished Function Room is now available for all sorts of private occasions, such as training meetings and business events, as well as family celebrations such as christenings, birthdays etc.
The room is licensed for up to 100 people, and a full food offering can be arranged.
Future Plans
Sandra has plenty of plans for The Swan...
She's proposing to start up a darts team, and is looking for players - let her know if you'd like to join in.
Food Hygiene Courses are being planned at The Swan. The dates will be confirmed when enough candidates' names have been collated. Please call Sandra on 01454 413062 to register your interest.
Look out for seasonal monthly menus, with delicious dishes for slimmers and diabetics to enjoy.
There'll also be the option to pre-order your lunch - perfect for businesses.
The rear of the property is being refurbished with new garden furniture, new lighting and new exterior decoration.
There are plans to restore the skittle alley - amongst other things!
