The Armstrong Hall complex offers a wide range of facilities for meetings or events. The original Cossham Hall is suitable for small concerts, cinema screenings and meetings, with a capacity of 140. The main Armstrong Hall seats around 350, and is readily adaptable for all types of functions.

Turnberrie's is Thornbury's newest community building. We are a base for a day centre for adults with learning difficulties, and have fantastic facilities available for everyone to use. The Chantry is owned and run by Thornbury & District Community Association, a registered charity, for the benefit of the people of Thornbury and adjoining parishes. The Chantry is a fine listed building located in the conservation area of Castle Street, Thornbury. It dates from the late 16th/early 17th Century. The name for the house suggests it was once a home for priests who were paid by people to chant masses for their souls.
Arranging a function? The Chantry is the perfect venue for any function, with two large halls, smaller rooms, kitchen and a wonderful walled garden with a built in barbecue. We have links with outside caterers and use of the bar outside regular hours can be arranged.
Fancy a Drink? The Chantry has its own Social Club, with a friendly atmosphere and beautiful, secluded garden to sit in on sunny days. The bar is open from 8 to 11pm Monday to Friday and other times upon request.
Do you need Meeting Space? We have various size rooms available, seven days a week, at reasonable rates. Kitchen facilities, car parking and OHP/flipcharts etc are all available to use.
