On the fourth Sunday of each month there is a Family Service at 9.15am at St Paul’s, a Family Eucharist at 10.45am at St Mary’s, and the evening service is normally Choral Evensong. Other Sunday morning services are Eucharistic, with Sunday School at St Paul’s, and provision for children at St Mary’s. We also have service at 4pm in St Mary’s, on the first and third Sunday of every month. The style of this “4all” service is informal, with modern music and a Christian message, and everyone is warmly welcomed. Kids Praise continues at 4pm on the second Sunday of each month, beginning in February. St Mary’s Church is open every day.

Summer this year falls on 14th June at 8.30am and lasts until 10am, that’s when Jonathan Webb (‘Webby’) will be speaking at Thornbury Rugby Club at an event organised by Men’s Breakfast.
Jonathan will tell us about his rugby career – he played 33 times for England as a full back, including 2 Rugby World Cup finals, scoring 296 points for his country. He also played for Bristol and Bath, (but for some strange reason did not play for my club Gloucester!)
Jonathan also talks about his Christian faith, his profession as an orthopaedic surgeon and the relationship of all three aspects of his life one to another. Jonathan had missionary parents but his faith had to develop roots of its own! He studied medicine at Bristol and was awarded research fellowships in Britain and Australia. He now runs the Jonathan Webb Clinic in Bristol.
Breakfast is giant bacon rolls; croissants; marmalade with tea or coffee all for £3. Breakfast starts at 8.30am, Jonathan speaks at 9ish plus time for questions until a 10am finish. Come and be inspired whilst enjoying a good breakfast in an English summer.
In July local MP Steve Webb will be joining us. For
further details of the above contact Mike Spiller on 260153.
