The 'scratch orchestra' day is an opportunity for players of orchestral instruments to come together and rehearse music in a single day for a concert that evening. The theme of the day is 'hits from the movies' so there will be lots of recognisable and fun pieces.
Rehearsals will be from 1-6:30pm (with regular breaks), and we will be performing at 7:30pm at Castle School.
There will be a number of pieces to learn and play, including Pirates of the Caribbean and lots of others you'll know and recognise.
We would like to get as many people performing with us as possible that day so if you've got some friends who play an orchestral instrument (strings, brass, wind or percussion) who can play to a standard approaching grade 5, make sure you let them know about it.
The day is open to musicians across Gloucestershire and Bristol.
The cost of the day will be £15 and enrolment forms are available - e mail below. We would be grateful if these could be returned by Sunday June 9th so... Read more >>
