Friday 9th March 2012
Thornbury Rotary Annual Swimarathon
Evenings of Friday, Saturday and Sunday 9th, 10th and 11th March, Thornbury Leisure Centre

Proceeds this year will be shared by Cancer Research UK, Meningitis UK and local charities, and other good causes.
Last year some £15000 was raised from swimming teams and industrial sponsors, of which £4000 went to each of SSAFA and the National Autistic Society, our main charities then.
As is our custom we run up to 12 lanes of swimmers swimming in relay for as many lengths as they can, in 55 minutes. The swimmers seek sponsorship from relatives, friends and colleagues, which they then collect for the benefit of the organisations identified above.
We organise several sessions each evening as required, 3 on Friday starting at 6.15, 7.15, and 8.15 pm. and 2 each on Saturday and Sunday at 7.15 and 8.15pm.
Get up a team (normally up to 6), join us at one of the sessions above and have a great time. The atmosphere is terrific, reinforced by the rhythm of the Castle School Steel Band.
Detail information and application forms etc from our website below or from Brian Lowrie, 10 Chestermaster Close, Almondsbury BS32 4EH, tel 01454 613361 or email below.
