MyThornbury newsletter

Each month, several hundred people living in and around Thornbury receive an email newsletter from us, letting them know what's new on MyThornbury - new competitions, new events, and new things to see and do.

If you'd like to be one of them, simply use the form on the right to send us your email address.

Here's the latest newsletter:

Hi everyone,

Can you believe Ronnie's has been in Thornbury for a year? The restaurant is extending an invitation to us all to share their celebrations with a competition to win £100 to spend on a meal, thanks to Hutchinson (Legal) and Associates, and a discount voucher to download.

You might have noticed a few changes recently at La Bruschetta, Thornbury's genuine Italian restaurant. See La Bruschetta's page to find out what the new Managing Director has already introduced, and what plans he still has up his sleeve.

You can also celebrate Thornbury Bookshop's move to brand new premises on the High Street with a chance to win £20 to spend in store – the perfect way to stock up on Summer holiday reading.

And there's another chance to add some wow factor to your summer parties by winning a Bouncy Castle hire from Bouncing Babbers.

Summer fairs and fetes are in full swing around Thornbury now, with open gardens and allotments, outdoor drama productions and a wealth of musical events. See the calendar for full details. Thornbury Together starts on July 20th, and is a series of events organised by the churches of Thornbury for the whole community.

If you were one of the many who joined the Oldbury Fun Run, or if you've ever wondered what it feels like to use a Personal Trainer, click here to read my account of attempting the run for the first time, with the capable support of Russell Knight.

Any rare birds around that day were probably keeping well away from the action. Visit Oldbury Power Station's new page to find out more about what's been seen there lately, as well as Site Stakeholder Group meetings - and the truth about the Power Station's starring role in Dr Who.

Finally, we get all sorts of enquiries about cleaners, so they now have their very own cleaning services section – ideal if you didn't quite manage that Spring clean.

Please feel free to forward this newsletter to anyone who might be interested, and if you have ideas for future content, do let us know. Click here to get in touch.

Best wishes,

Claire
