Welcome to Thornbury's newest Italian restaurant, brought to you by Luigi and Carmela to let everyone enjoy their passion of true Italian cooking.

Luigi and Carmela were born in Italy and moved to Bristol over 20 years ago to help Luigi's family in their restaurants.

For many years they dreamt of opening a genuine Italian restaurant.

Many years make many friends, one of whom is Adrian Clapp who helped them realise their dream with La Bruschetta in Thornbury.

The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner every day of the week, and for tea and coffee from 10am onwards - see opening hours for more details. You can also order all food and hot drinks to take away.

While you're enjoying your meal, take a moment to admire the reliefs decorating the walls of La Bruschetta, sculpted by the famous American artist Mauro Pozzobonelli.

The restaurant's director Adrian fell in love with the reliefs after a particularly good Italian meal in Sarasota. The Italian food worked its magic on his emotions and his wallet, and the reliefs were shipped to Thornbury, where they have inspired much of the style and decor of La Bruschetta.

The ambience of La Bruschetta is so convivial that you may find an extra person at your table late at night: Peter the Ghost has haunted the building for many generations, and seems to approve of its latest reincarnation.

You have nothing to fear as Peter is quite friendly, and Luigi claims to have enjoyed many a late-night bottle of wine with him! Let us know if he joins your table...
