Visiting Thornbury

Thornbury is a charming and attractive market town in South Gloucestershire, about 10 miles north of Bristol.

Easy to get to, just off the M5 and M4, Thornbury makes an excellent touring centre for exploring the surrounding countryside and nearby attractions. There's plenty of free parking available in town.

With a town charter dating back to 1252, Thornbury has lots of history, with collections and museums to visit, and offers many sport and leisure activities.

There's also a thriving arts scene, with plenty to see throughout the year, but particularly during Thornbury's Arts Festival each April.

Foodies are well catered for, with some excellent restaurants and the popular Thornbury Food Fair, which takes over Castle Street several times a year.
