Create and Grow
Learn to Sew classes held locally for ages 8 to adult; After School Clubs, Holiday Clubs, Kids Parties, Teens and Adults. Kids learn the skills to make felt animal pincushions, felt cushions, cute key rings and pretty purses, sew straight stitch, applique, blanket stitch, sewing on a button and beads. Teens and adults can learn to use a sewing machine whilst making pretty items such as bags with bows, lounging trousers or a simple skirt. Lots of fun projects to make and everything is supplied.

Tree Top Holiday Club
This is organised each holiday and half term for the 3-7 (Acorns and Maples) and 7-11 (Oaks) age groups. The club is located at Tockington Manor School, and makes full use of the school's facilities, including 28 acres of beautiful grounds and an indoor swimming pool.
The club is open to all children, including those who attend other local schools. Details of events and activities, together with costs, are sent out termly to the relevant age groups.

Impatient Vagrant Theatre Company
Impatient Vagrant offer affordable arts activities for all ages, based at Marlwood School. As well as weekly classes for young people we regularly stage new work inspired by the local area.
Our Youth Theatre (Ages 5-16) stage regular performances. We do not hold auditions we just require lots of energy and enthusiasm.
We work in schools, youth centres and community venues with one off workshops or longer term projects. More information can be found on our website below.

9.30am: Turnberrie’s Art Competition Deadline
Turnberrie's Community Centre, Thornbury

Turnberrie’s Community Centre is running an Art Competition as part of its Jubilee celebrations and would love entries from Thornbury's children.

The theme is: The Queen's Jubilee!

You could draw the Queen, her crown, her jewels, Buckingham Palace, the horse and carriage or even a bouquet of flowers that you would like to give to her! Or something of your own choice, you decide.

Our Competition Rules: Please hand in your A4 pictures to either your school or to Turnberrie’s Reception by 5pm on Friday 25th May. Please write on the back of your entry, your name, address and age group – either 4-8 years, 9-11
years or 12-16 years.

Prize for 1st place and consolation prize and certificate for runners up in each age category.
