Vriend and Friends
Armstrong Hall, Thornbury

.... a recital from Bach to Vriend.

Born in the Netherlands, Jan Vriend, is a classical composer, conductor and pianist who studied at the Amsterdam Conservatory and has been living in the Cotswolds for the last thirty years.

James Lisney is a concert pianist who made his Wigmore Hall debut in the 80s. His repertoire ranges from the baroque to the present. He has recently performed Schubert sonatas in the Purcell Room of the Southbank Centre to great acclaim.

The cellist, Joy Lisney is currently studying music at Clare College, Cambridge; her inspiring appearances have led to worldwide attention.

Together these three friends will play a varied programme of music including works Jan has composed, with exuberant scores which challenge both performer and listener, as well as more familiar works from Bach, Chopin and Debussy.

Tickets: £17 (raised) £15 (flat) - Reserved seats
