Cossham Hall, Thornbury
Come and indulge yourself and your friends in an afternoon of sheer nostalgia and pleasure, firstly with a traditional tea of home-made sandwiches and cakes followed by a cabaret style performance of great war-time songs such as all time favourites by Ivor Novello and Gershwin. We hope you will enjoy singing along to these light upbeat tunes and be amused and entertained by the occasional comic song.
Vicky Champion, a talented young singer from Berkshire who has roots in the West Country will be performing for you accompanied by her friend and wonderful pianist Liz Cockitt.
This concert, which is part of the fund raising project in aid of the Armstrong Hall Backstage Improvement Appeal, will start at 3.30pm for tea followed by the concert at around 4.30pm.
Tickets at £9 each are on sale now at Thornbury Town Hall or by phone on 412272. Don't miss this great value opportunity to enjoy tea, a wonderfully entertaining show and still be home before 7.00pm!
