Thornbury Picture House: Free Screening of 'Cinema Paradiso'

Cinema can transport you into a world of dreams. Thornbury Picture House invites you to a free screening of the marvellous Oscar winning movie 'Cinema Paradiso' which celebrates the magic of film while recounting the story of a young boy's fascination with cinema and his relationship with a kindly projectionist.
The film takes place in Sicily, has sub-titles and features a magnificent music score by Ennio Morricone.
Just turn up for this free film at Thornbury's Armstrong Hall on 8th September 2017 at 7.30pm.
Our regular season of eleven films in the Cossham Hall starts on 29th September with The Olive Tree, a delightful family tale of love and loss and the significance of an ancient olive tree. 20th October sees an exclusive personal archive of the famed Hollywood actor Marlon Brando. The ancient Malian city of Timbuktu is featured on 17th November when Islamic extremists attempt to change the city's accepted traditions and 2017 finishes on December 8th with The Crow's Egg, the story of two young Indian brothers with aspirations illustrating their attempts to make their dreams come true.
