Classical Music Concert - Roger Huckle & Bristol Ensemble
Cossham Hall, Thornbury
Members of the Bristol Ensemble, Bristol's professional Chamber Orchestra led by violinist Roger Huckle, will once again visit Thornbury with a concert of popular classical music.
Following five Thornbury Autumn concerts, Roger has designed a fascinating concert featuring David Pagett on clarinet playing one of Mozart's most admired works, the Clarinet Quintet in A Major for clarinet and strings.
The concert also includes Mozart's Divertimento in B Flat, Brahms Hungarian Dances, among his most popular works arranged for a wide variety of instruments, two waltzes by Dvorak and two Nordic Melodies by Grieg.
What an experience to hear great music in the intimate surroundings of the Cossham Hall played to perfection by the Bristol Ensemble, a musician's collective inspired and led by Roger Huckle, bringing together the best of the region's performers noted for their accessible, passionate, warm and virtuosic performances.
This eagerly awaited concert is part of the fund raising for the Armstrong Hall Redevelopment Project (Phase 1). Tickets at £16 each, to include interval finger food, can be obtained from Thornbury Town Hall or by 'phoning 01454 412272.
