Exhibition: Fetch the Engine!

Thornbury & District Museum

This exhibition runs until August 29th, and Thornbury & District Museum is open 1pm-4pm Tuesday to Friday, and 10am-4pm on Saturdays.

Come and see our exhibition about the history of fire-fighting in the Thornbury area.

Several people in the town, with family connections with the fire service, have lent us items, shown us photographs and told us stories. If you too have any old photographs or memorabilia you can show us, we would love to see them.
We have masses of information about different aspects of local firefighting, from how the fire service was first set up, to where they got their water from, to where the fire station has been at different times and who many of the local firefighters were.

Free Entry - so you can come back again and again to read all about it. For more details, visit our website below.
