The Chantry is a fine listed building located in the conservation area of Castle Street, Thornbury. It dates from the late 16th/early 17th Century - the name for the house suggests it was once a home for priests who were paid by people to chant masses for their souls.
The Chantry is the perfect venue for any function – from family parties to small weddings. We have two large halls, various smaller rooms, conservatory and a wonderful walled garden with a built in barbecue. Function facilities also include a kitchen and a bar which opens onto the garden. We also have a large gazebo (6m x 3m) for hire, which is ideal for summer parties in the garden. There is also ample space in the garden for hiring in your own marquee for larger functions.
