40 year Welsh celebrations
Cymrodorians started 2007 with an outstanding concert by the Dowlais Male Choir in the Armstrong Hall at the end of January. It was very much enjoyed by both society members and the general public.
On 3rd March a very special 40th anniversary dinner and dance was held at St. Pierre Golf Club in Chepstow. Besides enjoying the atmosphere, the food and dancing, members were delighted to remember old times by finding themselves and friends on a large display of photographs covering events over the forty years.
Our Chairman’s Evening on 21st April was held at St Mary’s Hall. The Committee once again provided a magnificent buffet. Members were entertained by a group of young jazz musicians from Bristol Cathedral School called “Blue Monkey”. They were extremely talented and enthusiastic and were much enjoyed.
For more events, see the calendar.
