Old Down Country Park has submitted a planning application to prevent its closure, after learning that it is operating beyond the scope of its current permission.
Owner Arron Banks says restoring the park has been a labour of love, with the intention of giving pleasure to local families and supporting local causes, rather than making a profit. When the project is finished he would have invested nearly £3m creating local sustainable jobs and hopefully a showcase for what can be achieved.
