Thornbury Town Band have been recorded and filmed by the BBC for an appearance on a ‘Routes around Britain’ TV documentary fronted by celebrity comedian and presenter Griff Rhys Jones.
The award winning band was commissioned to play Rule Britannia during a scene involving Griff travelling in a Rolls-Royce Phantom, recreating a journey made in 1574 by Queen Elizabeth 1. The scene will feature in the Finale to the documentary that is due on TV during the spring 2012.
