Thornbury FM, currently broadcasting on 87.7 FM, is considering a move to become a permanent radio station, which broadcasts 365 days per year. Currently the station broadcasts twice a year under the terms of Ofcom’s “Restricted Service Licence” scheme with a maximum duration of 28 days each broadcast. Going forward they hope and expect Ofcom to invite applications for a permanent community radio station in the area, and aim to apply for such a licence.
