Many will have noticed that the clock has stopped for over a month. A weight behind the clockface has become loose and part of the weight attachment mechanism appears to have fallen off, which prevents moving the hands into the permanent noon setting, indicating a broken clock.  Clock repairers are currently snowed under with work, but hope to arrive a week or two after Easter.
