Rare Saxon ring at Berkeley Castle
A very rare Anglo-Saxon gold ring is to go on display at Berkeley Castle after being shown in the BBC2 series Digging for Britain.
The ring will be exhibited in the Castle for only one month and will be a unique opportunity as it is the first time that the ring has been seen publicly for nearly 40 years, when it was exhibited at the Victoria and Albert Museum London in 1972. It has never before been exhibited at the Castle.
