Oldbury Power Station has donated £4,000 to Arts and Community in Thornbury (ACT) to help them pursue their aim of building a new performance venue in the town.
The cash, which has come from the station’s Socio-Economic Fund, will be used to kick off the group’s business plan and feasibility study.
The study will look into what the local community wants from a new venue and how it will be used. It will also investigate more practical things such as where the building could be sited, how big it should be and what other facilities it will be able to provide.
