Four staff members - eighty years!
Four members of staff at Alveston House Hotel near Thornbury are celebrating clocking up eighty years of service at the establishment.
Owner Julie Camm (32 years at the hotel), deputy manager Lisa Hindson (16 years at the hotel), business development manager Carole Topping (12 years at the hotel) and retiring housekeeper Joan Brimson realised the achievement when they came together to celebrate Joan's departure after 20 years. “Very few people stay in one job for a long time these days so having a team of four who can boast eighty years is quite an achievement." says Julie, who originally took a part-time job at the hotel before starting teacher training and then returned for good.
