Baffling Burial at Berkeley
Archaeologists excavating the Edward Jenner Museum garden have uncovered a skeleton, believed to be Roman or even sub-Roman ie ‘Dark Ages’ period. The Roman occupation in Britain ended in 410AD, making this an extremely rare find of great historical significance. This puts Berkeley on the map as an even earlier religious site than previously thought.
