2pm, Aust - Drive into the village and pass the church on the left. The fete will be in the field on the right hand side. Look out for the ‘petrol pumps’.
This is a traditional fete that has been going on for a long time. As well as traditional fete games, - (welly throwing, smash the plate, bric-a-brac, home-made cakes and teas, local produce) there will be a barbeque.
The fete will continue into the evening and is always well supported by the villagers from Aust and surrounding villagers.
All funds are for the support of the Ancient Chapelry of St John's Aust - a church nearly 800 years old and sited at the place where St Augustine converted the Welsh princes to Christianity.
Last year's special event was the landing of a police helicopter with the chance for the local children to see inside the helicopter.
This year's special event will be a hot air balloon, and depending on the weather this will take off at the end of the afternoon.
