3rd-16th May
The popular Severnvale Open Art Studios Trail is to be held between the 3rd and 16th of May this year. The trail extends from Almondsbury to Berkeley on either side of the A38. It will be preceded by a Taster Exhibition in Thornbury Town Hall, High Street, Thornbury, offering examples of the Artists’ work.
If you are looking for a painting, a piece of sculpture or other works of Art such as batik, textiles, basket weaving, pottery, stained glass and jewellery, watch out for the colour brochure to be widely distributed. Copies are also available from Thornbury Town Hall. These show an example of each Artist’s work, their venue address and times of opening. From this you may organise your own trail to make an entertaining and enlightening excursion. A clear map and signs show the location of each venue. All work is of high quality and Artists are on hand to explain how they go about their work. It is certainly fascinating to discover the talent and variety of Arts and Crafts on our own doorstep.
If you have already visited the Severnvale Open Art Studios in previous years you will know what a pleasant experience it is. Please tell your friends! So do remember that in May you have a treat in store when you can savour a variety of Arts and Crafts produced by our local Artists, some of whom have exhibited at the RWA, all of whom show great talent and expertise.
