Green fingered youngsters from Thornbury are being invited to show off their imaginative skills by creating a model using one of the area’s best-loved vegetables.

Staff at Wyevale Thornbury Garden Centre are challenging children to create weird and wonderful creatures and people from... potatoes.

Paul Hodges, Manager of the garden centre in Milbury Heath near Thornbury, explained: “The competition is part of our Grow Your Own Potatoes Weekend."
