Johnny Coppin returns to Thornbury
7.30pm, The United Reformed Church, Thornbury
One of our staunchest supporters, Johnny Coppin came to Thornbury in 2008 to play a free folk concert for our fundraising effort. He brought along his friend Paul Burgess and together they put on a brilliant show.
Johnny has asked if he can come back and do another show for us so he returns, again with Paul Burgess.
We are really looking forward to welcoming Johnny back and we know that he has a very wide fan base in this area. He was brought up in Gloucestershire and his solo career has taken him all over the world. He has produced 12 albums including an interesting collaboration with Cider with Rosie author, Laurie Lee.
His songs are hauntingly beautiful and mostly original. I think his style is similar to that of the late John Denver. Last time the tickets went very quickly so be sure to pick yours up from the Garden Shop on Thornbury High Street as soon as they go on sale on March 5th. Tickets will be £10, £9 for FACTs.
