An Audience with Dame Evelyn Glennie
Armstrong Hall, Thornbury

Tickets: Tickets £20 (raised) £18 (flat) Reserved Seating

The inspirational Dame Evelyn Glennie is the first person in musical history to successfully create and sustain a full-time career as a solo percussionist.

She is also a keen collector of percussion instruments and has an estimated hoard of over 1800! She will be playing a small selection of percussion instruments during the evening.

She also designs jewellery, composes and records music for film and television, has written her autobiography and just happens to be profoundly deaf. Breaking boundaries is the key to her success.

Evelyn will tell her fascinating life story with the help of video clips and the audience will have an opportunity to ask questions.

'There is sound everywhere.......... we just have to listen,' she says.

Presented in Association with Clive Conway Celebrity Productions Ltd. Supported by Quartet Community Foundation.
