Wednesday 6th October 2010
Age Concern Positive Planning Days
10am, 34 St Mary Street, Thornbury BS35 2AT

The day will provide guests with the chance to receive information on a broad selection of products and services, all designed for later life. These range from products such as Funeral Plans, Wills and Legal Services, to issues such as how to remain independent, how to plan for the future and how to put your affairs in order for complete peace of mind.

The free ‘LifeBook’ service can also help with personal organisation – the service is an invaluable tool to record details, useful contacts and locations of important documents which can ease the burden on families when sorting out final arrangements.

This positive, practical and friendly approach ensures customers are fully informed of the issues around planning for the future and can be confident that they are making the right decision for them without any pressure.

Patrick Morrissey from Age Concern South Gloucestershire said, “Taking out an Age UK Funeral Plan makes financial sense, as you’re effectively paying for your funeral at today’s prices. This not only means that the financial burden won’t fall on relatives, but it also ensures that your personal wishes will be carried out, which can be a great source of comfort for family at an upsetting time.”
